Hey you! Oh, how it's raining over here! Since the past week, it's been thunderstorms and bad weather (not that we are complaining though!) Who else loves rain?
Making brownies is one of our favorite things to do when it rains. We love to settle down in our garden with a cup of tea and some warm, heartfelt brownies! We are actually famous for our simple and eggless brownie recipe! Anytime our friends come over, brownies are our go-to snack to approach because they are delicious! Who doesn't love chocolate? (Aadya doesn't) but most people do!
We like our brownies soft and tender with a pop of chocolate and a natural flavor! You know the ones that just melt in your mouth and crumble like cake.
Who else agrees that the best things about brownies are the last crumbs left?
Heartfelt Homemade Brownies
1/4 cup cocoa
1 cup plain flour
3/4 cup powdered sugar(i grind granulated sugar)
1tsp vanilla essence
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
100gm unsalted butter
1/2 cup yogurt
5-7 walnuts (crushed them a little bit)
Note: If you are using salted butter don't put additional salt.
First, preheat your oven at 180 degrees Celcius.
Now take a medium-sized bowl and put plain flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and baking powder.
Use a spoon or spatula to mix this dry mixture together then sift the dry mixture into a different bowl and set aside.
Now for the wet mixture. In a food processor put yogurt, powdered sugar, vanilla essence, and butter (soften it before.)
With the help of your food processer mix all of your wet ingredients very well until you get a creamy mixture.
Now that it is creamy add your dry mixture into the food processor as well and mix everything very well. If you are using unsalted butter make sure you put salt.
Keep mixing this mixture until you get a uniform batter.
Before we bake it, add some walnuts into your batter and mix it inside.
Now, take out your medium-sized baking tray and pour your batter inside (go to the notes section to see tips on pouring batter)
Bake your brownies for 25 - 30 minutes (check notes to see how it is ready)
Enjoy your brownies!
How to properly pour your batter in the baking tray:
There are 2 things to remember when you are pouring your batter. First, always pour your batter in the middle so you spread it equally. Secondly, make sure your batter doesn't cross more than half of the tray!
How to test whether your brownies are ready or not:
Take a toothpick and poke it somewhere around the middle of your brownies and if it comes out plain your brownies are ready!
