Scrumptious Fattoush Salad

Hi everyone! I hope you are well! If you follow us on Instagram (which you should be😜) you probably know that this week we are focused on sharing some of our favorite Medditaranian recipes. We have already posted recipes for Tabbouleh, Labneh Dip, and Zaatar (Social Media Exclusive)

Today, I am going to share the best fattoush salad recipe - it is a mix of flavors - it is tangy, crunchy (because of the pita bites, don’t be confused I will explain that later) and most importantly the salad is scrumptious.

Whenever I prepare a full course Medditarian meal Fattoush always plays a big part because it is really easy to make!

So let's get started!

Scrumptious Fattoush Salad

The first thing we are going to make is pita chips. These add an amazing crunch to your salad:

1 whole pita bread

2 tbs extra virgin olive oil

1/2 tsp sumac

1/4 tsp salt

1. Preheat your oven to 175 Celcius. Cut your pita bread into small square pieces.

2. In a separate bowl, mix your oil, sumac, and salt together. Brush this on top of your square cut pieces and put the bread in your oven for 15 minutes. Tada!

To make the salad you will need:

1 head romaine lettuce, chopped

1/2 cup halved cherry tomatoes

1 cucumber - chopped

1/2 small red onions - sliced

1/2 cup mint leaves

1/2 cup parsley

4-5 radishes sliced for garnishing

The method for this is simple - just mix everything together and continue to the dressing method👇

For the dressing you will need:

2 tbs lemon juice

3 tbs extra virgin olive oil

1/2 tsp sumac

salt according to taste

1/4 tsp black pepper

All you have to do to make the dressing is mix all of the dressing ingredients together and pour on top of your salad.

Garnish your salad with the pita chips you made before and your salad is ready to be eaten!
